School-Based Therapy
Bradley Center Therapists Are Happy to Meet Your Students Where They Are — Literally
As a parent or a teacher, we know you want children to have full access to safe and reliable mental health services, but you also don’t want their schedules and school days to be disrupted in the process. With Bradley’s school-based mental health services, we provide students the behavioral, emotional, and mental health support they need without needing to leave school.
Why Are School-Based Mental Health Services So Important?
Today’s students need more help than ever before with their mental and emotional health. This includes learning how to manage their behavior issues, concerns at home, trauma, anxiety, and ADHD and other focus disorders that affect their grades.
Making sure students have access to the care they need while remaining in their school is often the ideal solution. Our highly customized school-based mental health services program offers students personalized therapy that supports their academic, social, and emotional development without disrupting their education. Our on-site approach also enables schools to avoid expensive outplacement services, which keeps more of your district’s budget where it belongs: in the classroom.
How It Works
Every school we serve benefits from having a reliable, dedicated Bradley therapist on-site. You can think of them as a highly personal extension of your own district’s staff. This integrative approach enables our therapists to develop supportive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff, which makes it easier to identify problems and implement healthy solutions.
Students attending school-based mental health services will receive individualized age-appropriate therapy. This can include play therapy for young students, support for teen issues, group therapy for students with shared experiences such as grief and loss, and other engaging and effective approaches.
What Makes Bradley’s School-Based Therapy So Effective?
All Ages Served: Bradley’s mental health services are available for K-12 students, and can continue with a student from year to year as needed.
Fast Response: Unlike other providers who have long wait times for appointments, your student will usually be scheduled to start Bradley’s school-based therapy within two weeks of referral.
Minimal Disruption: Students typically receive one 40-minute appointment in school each week during the class period that is least disruptive to their academic schedule.
Family Updates: Bradley therapists maintain a direct and active connection with the parents/guardians of the students they serve.
Consistency of Care: To ensure that all students receive effective high-quality care, we only begin work in new districts when a Bradley therapist is available to serve that district.
Uninsured Support: If students are uninsured, supportive counseling from a Bradley therapist can be made available at no cost to the family.
